'Go Gold' 5K Run In Montville Will Support Childhood Cancer Awareness

MONTVILLE, NJ — The Gracie's Army Foundation is inviting the community to "Go Gold" this September in honor of National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month with a family-friendly 5K and Fun Run at Montville Township High School.

The event will take place at Montville Township High School, 100 Horseneck Road, Montville, and will feature a USATF-NJ sanctioned 5K, a 1-mile Fun Run/Walk, and a 40-yard dash. The race begins and ends at the school's track, following a scenic course through local neighborhoods.

Organizers expect more than 500 runners and walkers to participate while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research and supporting families facing pediatric cancer. The event will also include food trucks, local vendors, awards for top finishers across multiple age groups, and a special recognition ceremony honoring children battling cancer and cancer survivors.

Registration is $35 for adults through Sept. 5 and $40 after Sept. 5, while participants 19 and younger can register for $20. Runners and walkers of all ages are encouraged to attend and show their support for local families affected by childhood cancer.
