Residents can bring financial and legal documents, receipts, tax records and medical records for shredding. The township asks participants to remove rubber bands and paper clips beforehand. Spiral notebooks and three-ring binders are not accepted.

Electronics including computers, monitors, printers, cellphones, televisions, microwaves and air conditioners will also be accepted. Household alkaline batteries, light bulbs, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes and household hazardous waste are among the materials that cannot be dropped off.

The Morris County Sheriff's Office will also provide a prescription medication drop-off during the event.

The event gives residents one place to safely clear out sensitive documents, unwanted electronics and unused medications.

Proof of residency is required. The township is limiting shredding to a maximum of 10 boxes per vehicle.
