1. Montville To Vote Tuesday On Konner Avenue Improvement Project Contract (patch.com) — Montville officials are set to vote Tuesday night on awarding a construction contract for the Konner Avenue Improvement Project, which affects several local neighborhood streets. The public can attend the Township Committee meeting at 7 p.m. at the Montville Municipal Building on Changebridge Road, where details of the long-discussed road work may finally move forward.
2. Officers rein in runaway horses in Montville (news12.com) — Montville residents may have spotted an unusual scene as township police helped corral at least four loose horses wandering through a neighborhood and onto residential properties. With assistance from workers at a local Chestnut Street equestrian facility, officers safely rounded up the animals and returned them home, though officials have not identified the farm they escaped from.
3. Morris/Sussex individual, team stat leaders for 2026 football season (northjersey.com) — Montville High football players are prominently featured among Morris and Sussex County stat leaders this season, with standout performances from Jackson Gering, Andrew Baginski, Liam Daly, and Dominick Grunke. The regularly updated list tracks rushing, receiving, defensive, and kicking stats, letting Montville fans see how their athletes stack up against rival schools across the region.
4. 'Slice of Joy': Montville Students Bring Birthday Celebrations to Families in Need (tapinto.net) — Two Montville students have launched Project Slice of Joy, assembling birthday cake kits so local children facing food insecurity can still celebrate. With help from classmates and generous neighbors, they've already delivered dozens of kits to the Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry and other New Jersey pantries, and now hope to grow into a nonprofit with ongoing drives and sponsorships.
