Expect Delays Beginning Today Due To Changebridge Road Repaving Project

$1.1 million project is expected to begin Monday and will take a few weeks to complete, officials said.

The repaving of Changebridge Road in Montville will begin early next week, possibly Monday, officials announced.

The $1.1 million, 2.9-mile long project will take several weeks to complete. The project will run from Woodmont Drive and through River Road to the township park.

Paving and milling, which will take at least a week each, work will be done, in most cases, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An exact start date on the work was not announced.

Storm basins will also be replaced. That work, which should take one to two weeks, will begin at 7 a.m.

Curb ramps will be installed to provide disabled persons will be constructed as part of the project.

Signs will be posted regarding road closings and detours. Motorists should expect delays. Police will help direct traffic throughout the project.
