The Montville High School Forensics team placed second at the Newark CFL, the last league tournament of the year, on March 19. Here’s how the team did:
- Jason Tuckman and Eden Weinflash: first, Duo Interpretation
- Jade Scangarello: sixth, Original Oratory
- Bryan Kayne: third, Dramatic Performance
- Deep Dheri: first, Lincoln-Douglas Debate
- Tolga Sozusen: sixth, JV Lincoln-Douglas Debate
- Jerry Zhang & Olivia Qiu: sixth, Public Forum Debate
- Saif Yasin & Vishu Kumar: sixth, JV Public Forum Debate
- Abe Mendelson: first, Congressional Debate
Following the tournament, the CFL National Qualifiers were announced:
- Abe Mendelson: Congressional Debate
- Deep Dheri: Lincoln-Douglas Debate
- Matt Wolfson: Lincoln-Douglas Debate
- Zak Klein: Extemporaneous Speaking Sarah Weinflash: Original Oratory
- Eden Weinflash & Jason Tuckman: Duo Interpretation
- Bryan Kayne: Dramatic Performance
- Jerry Zhang and Neville Dusaj: Policy Debate
