Manhunt On For Suspect in Morris County Bank Robbery

Denville TD Bank branch had money stolen Saturday morning, prosecutor says.

Local, county, and state authorities are on the lookout for a man accused of robbing a TD Bank in Morris County Saturday morning, Prosecutor Fredric Knapp said.

At 10:09 a.m. police responded to a report of a bank robbery at TD Bank on East Main Street in Denville, Knapp said.

An investigation revealed a man entered the bank and demanded money, Knapp said. The man is described as Asian, approximately six feet tall, and was wearing a black knit cap, black jacket, black gloves, yellow scarf, and sunglasses, Knapp said.

The suspect then fled from the scene in a black, four-door sedan with tinted windows with chrome trim around the windows, Knapp said. The vehicle fled toward Rt. 53 south in the direction of Morris Plains.

The amount of money stolen has not been disclosed.
