Concluding a competitive application process, Academy for Education and Learning student at the Morris County School of Technology (MCST), Madeline Tubbs, has been selected as a Girl Representative to the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey (GSNNJ) Board of Directors for 2022-2023. Madeline’s nomination was confirmed, and she was installed at the recent GSNNJ Annual Meeting.

Madeline has been a Girl Scout for 12 years with Troop 94559 in the Montville Service Unit. She earned her Girl Scouts Silver and Bronze Awards and is currently working on her Gold Award project “Let’s BEE Friendly.” Madeline is the student manager of Garden4Good, a Montville Township community garden plot where fresh produce is cultivated and harvested for the Montville and Boonton Food Pantries. She is a beekeeper and active member of the Essex County Beekeepers Society.

“As a Girl Scout Representative to the GSNNJ Board, I will be able to share the perspective of our youth membership and allow those viewpoints to be considered in the decision-making process,” said Madeline Tubbs. “I am honored to hold the position of Girl Representative for the upcoming year. I look forward to learning more about board governance and building upon my public speaking experience gained at MCST in the Academy for Education and Learning.”
