Montville Go Gold 5K Sunday: Registration Still Open For Pediatric Cancer Fundraiser
Runners and walkers can still sign up for Sunday's Go Gold 5K and Fun Run at Montville Township High School.
MONTVILLE, NJ — There’s still time to sign up for Sunday’s Go Gold 5K and Fun Run in Montville, where runners and walkers will take to a course starting at Montville Township High School to raise money for pediatric cancer research and show support for families affected by childhood cancer.
The Gracie’s Army Foundation Go Gold 5K and Fun Run is Sunday, Sept. 20, at the Montville Township High School track, 100 Horseneck Road.
The 1-mile Fun Run begins at 8 a.m., followed by the 5K at 9 a.m. Registration remains open until 7:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., respectively, Sunday.

Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome, with event organizers describing the event as family-friendly. Awards will go to the top three finishers in each age group and the top three male and female finishers, and a recognition ceremony for children with cancer is also planned. Registration is $40 for adults and $20 for participants ages 19 and younger.
September is National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, and organizers say the fundraiser is intended to support families and raise funds for research.

“Be the Light in the Fight Against Pediatric Cancer!” organizers said.
The course begins at the high school track, travels through local neighborhoods and finishes back at the track. Music and local vendors are also planned, adding activities around the race itself as the community gathers at the high school for the morning event.
Packet pickup is Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the high school or Sunday from 7 to 8 a.m.
