SELF DEFENSE classes for FEMALES, Ages 9 to 99

The Montville Recreation Department will be sponsoring SELF DEFENSE classes for FEMALES, Ages 9 to 99. Be Aware. Be Prepared. (Maximum 15 students)

This program was created by Skylar Lee, a Girl Scout Ambassador, working on her Gold Award. Students will be taught basic skills and techniques needed to protect themselves in times of danger.

Girl Scout Gold Award: Skylar created this program as her Girl Scout Gold Award Project to address the issue of violence against women. She is hoping to encourage women to gain confidence knowing that they will be able to defend themselves in times of danger.

Classes take place at the Activities Building located at 91 Passaic Valley Road in Montville (across from Willow Creek Stables).

Program runs on Wednesdays: November 6, 20, December 4, & 18 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing. No shoes are allowed on the mats, you may want to wear grip socks.

Instruction is provided by Skylar Lee (1st Degree Black Belt) and Eli Brickman (3rd Degree Black Belt).

There is no cost for this program, BUT participants MUST BE pre-registered. Space is limited.
