SPEECH & DEBATE program for students in Grades 6th-8th, Beginner & Advanced Levels

The Montville Recreation Department is sponsoring a SPEECH & DEBATE program for students in Grades 6th-8th, Beginner & Advanced Levels.

This program will focus on the techniques of effective public speaking in the areas of oratorical, humorous, duo, and dramatic interpretation, extemporaneous and impromptu speaking, and public forum debate.

Program takes place on Tuesdays: March 10, 17, 24, 31, April 14, 21, 28 & May 5 (No: 4/7).

Classes take place at the Montville Twp. High School Media Room & Class Room 301 located at 100 Horseneck Road in Montville.

Instruction is provided by Mr. Michael Miller along with Assistant Head Coaches, Ms. Alexandra Iemmello & Mr. Andrew Prescott. Mr. Miller has coached the Montville High School Forensics team for 4 years, and is the head coach of the Forensics team and has also taught eighth and sixth graders at Robert R. Lazar Middle School for 13 years. Students from the award-winning Forensics team will be acting as seminar interns.

The cost is $135.00 per person for the 8 (eight) week session.
