FIELD HOCKEY LEAGUE for Girls, Entering the 6th through 8th Grades in September 2020
The Montville Recreation Department will be sponsoring a FIELD HOCKEY LEAGUE for Girls, Entering the 6th through 8th Grades in September 2020.
There will be both a Varsity & Junior Varsity Team.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT includes:

1. Shin Guards
2. White Socks for Home Games & Dark Green Socks for Away Days

3. Sneakers for Practices & Cleats for Games
4. Mouth Guard (must be colored)
5. Field Hockey Stick (The Rec Dept has some that are available for use.)
6. Face Goggles—Players ARE REQUIRED to wear face goggles.
Practices take place at the Montville Community Park Turf Field and Home Games at the Montville High School Field Hockey Field.
NOTE: This is a TRAVELING LEAGUE !!! Away game transportation MUST be provided by the parents !!!
The season will run from August through October.
The tentative preseason will be on Mondays and Wednesdays : August 17, 19, 24, 26, 31 & Sept 2 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.
Regular season practices will start on Wednesday, September 9th (No: 9/28 & 10/12) and will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45pm to 5:15pm.
GAMES: TBD….may be an abbreviated season. Typically would be scheduled EVERY Saturday starting in September 12th through October 31st. JV plays at 1:30 or 2:00pm and Varsity plays at 3:00pm.
Program will be run by Coaches Van Koppen & Mc Hale.
The cost is $85.00 per person. Registration Deadline is 8/7/2020.
