SPEECH & DEBATE CLASSES for Grades 6th-8th (Beginner & Advanced Levels)

The Montville Recreation Department is sponsoring SPEECH & DEBATE CLASSES for Grades 6th-8th (Beginner & Advanced Levels).
This program will focus on the techniques of effective public speaking in the areas of oral interpretation, oratorical interpretation, extemporaneous and impromptu speaking, as well as public forum debate.
Program takes place at the Montville Community Park Field House located at 130 Change Bridge Road in Montville.

Classes run on Tuesdays: September 28, October 5, 12, 19, 26, November 9, 16 & 23 (No: 11/2) from 3:45pm to 5:45pm.
Instruction is provided by Mr. Michael Miller - Head Coach, this will be his 6th year of coaching forensics, and he’s taught English Language Arts at Robert R. Lazar Middle School for 14 years, Ms. Alexandra Iemmello - Coach, this will be her 3rd year of coaching forensics, and she teaches English at Montville Township High School, & Mr. Andrew Prescott - Coach, this will be his 3rd year coaching, and he is a former competitor and State champion in forensics. Students from the award winning team will be acting as seminar interns.

The cost is $135.00 per student for the 8 (eight) week program.
