SPEECH & DEBATE CAMPS for students entering Grades 6th-9th in September 2022 (Beginner & Advanced Levels)

The Montville Recreation Department is sponsoring SPEECH & DEBATE CAMPS for students entering Grades 6th-9th in September 2022 (Beginner & Advanced Levels).

This program will focus on the techniques of public speaking in the areas of oral interpretation, extemporaneous and impromptu speaking, as well as categories of debate such as Lincoln Douglas and Public Forum. Sessions will be held by officers of the Montville Forensics team and supervised by the coaches.

Students should bring laptops, a notebook, and a writing utensil as well as any food or drink they would like to have during the session. Food and drinks will not be provided.

Camps take place at the Montville Twp. High School Class Room 301 located at 100 Horseneck Road in Montville.

Instruction and Supervision is provided by Mr. Justin Scrufari - History teacher at MTHS and Head Coach of 2 years, Ms. Alexandra Iemmello - English teacher at MTHS and Asst. Coach of 3 Years, and Mr. Andrew Prescott - Asst. Coach of 3 Years and Forensics Alumna.

The cost is $145.00 per student per 5 (five) day camp.
