Montville Recreation

The Montville Recreation Department will be offering TENNIS LESSONS for Ages 3 through Adults—Beginner & Intermediate Level Players.

Following developmental curriculums and guidelines laid out by the USTA, US Sports Institute is offering a selection of classes for all ability levels. Using racquets, balls and courts appropriately sized for players based on their age, participants will experience success and enjoyment from start to finish.

TENNIS SQUIRTS: Children will have a great time learning fundamental skills and exploring their capabilities through the ABC's of tennis (Agility, Balance and Coordination).

FOUNDATION TENNIS: for beginner level players or those with some experience who are looking to learn how to rally successfully and consistently.

DEVELOPMENT TENNIS: Catering to intermediate players looking to take their game to the next level. Players must be able to rally successfully and consistently to register.

ADULT TENNIS: Regardless of previous experience, players will learn the fundamentals in stroke production, court movement and footwork, in a low pressured, yet energetic environment.

Players must provide their own racquet for Foundation and Development Level Programs .

Classes are held at the Montville Twp. High School Tennis Courts located at 100 Horseneck Road in Montville.

Class options vary depending on ages and level of play. Please check the website for all available dates and times.

Instruction is provided by First Play LLC using instructors from US Sports Institute.

The cost is $130.00 per person for the 7 (seven) week session.
