Montville Recreation Department

The Montville Recreation Department will be sponsoring MATH CLASSES for students in Grades 6-8.

The Montville Recreation Department will be sponsoring MATH CLASSES for students in Grades 6-8.

In this accelerated 6 week program, begins with addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, decimals, and percents. The class then progresses through intuitive geometry, Pre-Algebra and Algebra I in subsequent sessions. Students will be introduced to the algebra concepts of integers, equations, inequalities, and exponents; there is also a unit on informal geometry. In the Algebra I classes students will learn about one and two variables through the solution of quadratic equations by factoring, completing the square, and by formula. This program will stress the structure and logical development of mathematics.

Choice of session/s include:

# 1 - Mondays: April 18, 25, May 2, 9, 16 & 23 from 5:30pm to 6:15pm.

# 2 - Tuesdays: April 19, 26, May 3, 10, 17 & 24 from 4:30pm to 5:15pm.

The cost is $155.00 per person per 6 (six) week session.
