Montville Resident Co-Chairs Event For Domestic Violence Victims
Carol Nelson helped to organize the Run for Rachel, an event held in May in Livingston.
Montville resident Carol Nelson has been involved in the Rachel Coalition for more than five years, but this year was the first time she co-chaired the Run for Rachel, now in it's third year. The event raises awareness and funds to help victims of domestic violence.
"The biggest thing is that it brings awareness that we exist," Nelson said. "We're able to help more people."
The Rachel Coalition is part of Jewish Family Service of Metrowest, an organization that provides counseling, domestic violence support, crisis intervention, and more to residents of five counties in New Jersey, including Morris.
