Montville Students Spread Inspiring Message On Bathroom Mirrors
"You're beautiful," the sign told students at Robert R. Lazar Middle School.

MONTVILLE, NJ— A group of Montville students has a message for their female peers: you're beautiful the way you are.
The Female Empowerment and leadership Advisory Group at Robert R Lazar Middle School posted a message in a ladiesroom to send an encouraging message to their fellow students.
"WARNING," the text printed on the sign reads, "Reflections in this mirror may be distorted by socially constructed ideas of 'beauty.'"

Additionally messages are written in crayon: "You don't need makeup to be beautiful," "you're beautiful," and "makeup hides your inner beauty."
The picture was shared on Facebook and Instagram by the Montville Township Public Schools.

Students across the county have posted positive reminders on bathroom mirrors. In one Raleigh, North Carolina school, students left a stack of sticky notes and a pen so everyone could write a message. In a Kansas school, students covered the mirrors entirely with paper, scrawling uplifting notes about body image.
