Montville Township High School Names Joseph Cardinale As New Assistant Principal

Cardinale will join the MTHS leadership team July 1 .

MONTVILLE, NJ - The Montville Township Board of Education has appointed Joseph Cardinale as assistant principal of Montville Township High School, effective July 1, 2026.

The board approved the appointment at its May 12 regular meeting. Cardinale will join the MTHS leadership team as Ken Nadzak transitions into the role of principal. His salary is set at $139,191.

The board also approved a new Special Education CD Transition Teacher position at MTHS, designated as a budgeted new position, at a salary of $99,720, effective Aug. 25.

In other business, the board heard a range of highlights from across the district. Montville Township High School's Key Club was recognized as the No. 1 Key Club in New Jersey, earning top honors across multiple categories including the club's first-ever District Governor.

Fourteen of 78 Montville FBLA members who competed at the NJ State Leadership Conference in Atlantic City qualified for the National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas in late June.
