Montville Township Recreation Biddy Basketball Program

The Montville Recreation Department is sponsoring BIDDY BASKETBALL programs for Grades K-2, Boys & Girls.

KINDERGARTEN & 1st GRADE program will emphasize fun, full participation, and instruction in a safe setting. Fundamental skills will be emphasized and 8 foot rims will be used to promote success for beginning level youth athletes.

2nd GRADE program will be similar to the K-1 program and use the smaller hoops. Also, it will contain more controlled scrimmage situations with an emphasis on fundamental team concepts and an increased understanding of the rules of a full court competitive game. We promote a love for the game and anticipate a great deal of fun, growth and improvement from week 1 to week 7.

All students should wear sneakers, shorts and a t shirt, and bring a water bottle.

Program takes place at the Lazar Middle School Gymnasium located at 123 Change Bridge Road in Montville.

Program runs on Sundays: January 8, 22, 29, February 5, 12, 26 & March 5 (No: 1/15 & 2/19).

Grades K-2 are from 1:15pm to 2:15pm and Grade 2 is from 2:15pm to 3:15pm.

Supervision is provided by Ken Ferrare and the DST Basketball Staff. Ken is a Montville resident and has been running award winning basketball programs in town for the past 17 years.

The cost is $140.00 per child for the 7 (seven) week program.
