Montville UNICO Establishes Scholarship Endowment

Montville UNICO Establishes Scholarship Endowment at County College of Morris

The Montville Chapter of UNICO National, the nation’s largest Italian-American civic organization, has established a scholarship endowment at the County College of Morris. The endowment was funded by the initial payment of $10,000 towards the total endowment of $30,000.

The Montville UNICO Foundation, the non-profit funding arm of the Montville Chapter, raises funds through various events on behalf of the Chapter. Half of the funds raised are earmarked specifically for educational grants. In addition to funding grants for high school seniors, the Chapter is now committed to helping county college students pay for their tuition and fees with the establishment of the endowment.

The initial funding of the endowment was presented to Katie Olsen of the County College of Morris at the Chapter’s January meeting. The Chapter expects to fully fund the endowment by 2019.
