Montville UNICO Foundation and Turkeys 4U Purchased and Distributed 480 turkeys in time for Thanksgiving

Turkeys 4U, a non-profit student run organization now in its seventeenth year, in conjunction with the Montville UNICO Foundation, once again distributed turkeys to needy families, food pantries, churches, orphanages, and soup kitchens throughout northern New Jersey. Twenty-seven high school students from Kinnelon, Montville and Butler raised funds and purchased 480 turkeys, over 4 tons of the holiday birds, that were delivered on November 17, 2018 to the Interfaith Food Pantry in Morristown, the Father English Center in Paterson, St. Anne’s church in Parsippany, St. Peter’s church in Parsippany and the Kinnelon Health Department. Turkeys were also delivered to the Montville UNICO Foundation for distribution to 60 local families in need, along with $2,000 worth of food certificates, in time for Thanksgiving dinner. My Limo, a transportation company located in East Hanover, NJ, donated a bus and a driver to the students to pick up and deliver the turkeys for distribution.

In the seventeen years of the organization, Turkeys 4U has now raised over $250,000 and purchased and distributed nearly 15,500 turkeys.
