Montville UNICO to offer $2,500 “Service Above Self” Scholarship

Deadline for receipt of applications for this award is April 1, 2018.

The Montville Chapter of UNICO National, the largest Italian-American service organization in the United States, has announced the offering of a new $2,500 scholarship to be awarded to a high school graduating senior residing in Montville Township who has demonstrated extraordinary efforts to give back to the community, which exemplifies UNICO’s mission of “Service Above Self”. Deadline for receipt of applications for this award is April 1, 2018.

The new scholarship is in addition to three $2,500 grants the Montville Chapter will be offering to high school seniors. Two of the grants are for seniors attending college in the fall, with one specifically for students who have promoted Italian heritage, language and culture in their studies and activities; and the remaining grant is for seniors seeking to learn a trade or pursue a licensed profession. All three grants require academic achievement, financial need and Italian descent. Deadline for receipt of applications for these grants is April 21, 2018.
