'More Effective Command' to Result from Morris Prosecutor's Promotions
Five members change ranks, new assistant prosecutor assigned.

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp has shuffled his office’s cards this month, promoting five members of the county’s top law enforcement agency.
“More effective command of the various legal and investigative units of the office,” will result from the moves, Knapp announced in a press release. “We are always striving to optimize the performance of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office to support our service to the citizens of Morris County.”
The following personnel were promoted on Friday, Feb. 6:

- Captain Denise Arseneault to Deputy Chief, will command all investigative personnel and will report directly to Chief of Investigations John R. Speirs.
- Lieutenant Jane Recktenwald to Captain, will command the Special Operations Division.
- Sergeant Steven Murzenski to Lieutenant, will command the Professional Standards, Financial Crimes, Insurance Fraud and Bias Crimes Units.
- Detective Supervisor Christoph Kimker to Sergeant, will supervise the Professional Standards, Financial Crimes, Insurance Fraud and Bias Crimes Units.
- Detective Michelle Timmons to Detective / Supervisor, will supervise the Domestic Violence and Weapons Return Units.
Alexis Keller, Esq. was also sworn in as assistant prosecutor. The promotions were effective as of Feb. 2, but the promotion ceremony was held later due to inclement weather closings.
