Morris County Hosts Drop-Off Locations for Unwanted Meds Saturday

Free service requires no personal information, prosecutor's office says.

Taking part in the ninth annual Operation Take Back program, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, in conjunction with three local police departments, will host drop-off locations for residents looking to properly dispose of unwanted prescription medicines.

On Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Stop and Shop Supermarket on Littleton Road in Morris Plains; Randolph Township Municipal Building at 502 Millbrook Road in Randolph; and Mountain Lakes Fire Department at 400 Boulevard in Mountain Lakes will all be drop-off locations.

Residents are encouraged to bring their unused, unwanted, and expired medicines – including prescriptions, controlled substances, and over-the-counter medications – to the drop-off locations to properly dispose of the materials at no cost.
