MTHS Jr. Anna Rehberg Lands Soprano 2 Section Region Chior

Four Montville Township High School students were selected for the North Jersey Region Choir. MTHS junior Anna Rehberg achieved the top score in the region for the Soprano 2 voice part, awarding her the position of section leader for the Region Mixed Choir (SATB).

“This is a great accomplishment,” said MTHS music teacher Kristen Markowski regarding Rehberg’s outstanding achievement. “There were 100 other students from all over North Jersey that auditioned for her voice part.”

MTHS senior Verina Megala was also selected for the Region Mixed Choir. Additionally, juniors Madison Bustamante and Rachelle Philip were chosen to perform with the Region Treble (Women’s) Choir (SSA).

Montville Township High School is one of seven schools in the Montville Township Public Schools district.

Only 300 of the 500 high school students who auditioned for North Jersey Region Choir were selected on Saturday, January 5, 2019. The Region I High School Honors Choir is sponsored by the North Jersey School Music Association (NJSMA).

The 2019 North Jersey Region Choir will be directed by Chris Henke. The concert will take place at Morris Knolls High School, 50 Knoll Drive, Rockaway, NJ 07866, on Saturday, January 26 at 4:00 p.m.
