MUDD 2015 - The 3rd Annual Montville Ceramics Invitational
Montville High School to host dozens of artists from area schools for judging by major arts programs. Public is invited to free exhibition.
Montville Township High School [MTHS] will host MUDD 2015, the 3rd Annual All Ceramics Invitational Exhibition, on the evening of Tuesday, January 13, 2015.
Over thirty ceramic pieces by extraordinary student artists will be on exhibit at MUDD 2015. More than two dozen artists from many area high schools will compete for top prizes in a variety of categories.
Prizes in categories such as Hand Built Functional, Hand Built Sculptural, and Best of Show will be awarded. In addition there will be awards in categories which highlight specific techniques or types of sculpture.

All entries will be judged by ceramics professors from fine arts schools and colleges. Representatives from Rhode Island School of Design, Moore College of Art, SUNY New Paltz, William Paterson University and Peter’s Valley Craft Center will participate in the judging.
Last year over $89,000 worth of scholarships were awarded to the top artists competing in the event.

In addition to the competition, all area student artists are encouraged to bring portfolios and meet with university representatives.
The show’s creator and organizer, Sharon Pflug-Moench, is a fine arts instructor at MTHS. Three of her own pieces will be raffled at MUDD 2015. Chances for the raffle are $1.00, and proceeds will help defray the costs of hosting MUDD 2015, the 3rd Annual All Ceramics Invitational Exhibition. Raffle tickets can be purchased at MUDD 2015 or in advance at the MTHS main office or at the Montville Township Board of Education offices at 86 River Road. The raffle will be drawn during the MUDD 2015 event.
MUDD 2015, the 3rd Annual All Ceramics Invitational Exhibition will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 (Snow Date, Wednesday, January 14) at 6:30PM in the MTHS media center. Awards will be presented at 7PM. The event is free and open to the public. MTHS is located at 100 Horseneck Road in Montville, New Jersey. Admission is free and everyone is encouraged to attend.
