Overturned Tanker Truck Shuts Down Horseneck Road

A tractor trailer driving on Horseneck Road going from the Rockaway Valley Sewage Treatment Plant to the Two Bridges Sewer Treatment Plant in Lincoln Park turned over early Saturday morning, according to the Montville Township Police Department.

The crash was heard around approximately 6:38 a.m., said Lt. David Peterson. Horseneck Road was then closed until approximately 12 p.m., then re-opened, he said.

Peterson said that speed was allegedly an issue in the crash, and that the driver was issued a summons for careless driving and was transported to the Morristown Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.
