Pompton Lakes Man Arrested, Charged with William Paterson School Shooting Threat

William Paterson University police arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting threat against the school yesterday.

Christopher Geary, 18, of Pompton Lakes, and a student of County College of Morris, was arrested after allegedly posting a threat of a shooting on an unnamed William Paterson University campus, school officials said in an email.

Geary has been charged with making terrorist threats and causing false public alarm after allegedly posting the Sept. 24 threat on the Yik Yak social media application.
