Pathways for Exceptional Children is based out of Montville and has a large array of after school programs for children! Does your child have a passion for science experiments, computer science or robotics? Do they like the arts and music? How about sports and recreational classes such as cooking? Pathways has it all and at affordable prices! In addition, Pathways offers different levels from beginner to advanced classes in many of our programs so your child can continue to grow and take on more challenges over time in the areas they are interested in.

Pathways also uses a "children teaching children" model where many of our classes are led by trained students who have a passion and are gifted in the particular area they are teaching. There is nothing more motivating than peers teaching peers and being included in the full learning process where everyone gets involved in problem solving and critical thinking! These students work under the direction of an adult instructor who is present in the classes. However, the adult is present to facilitate learning and to help guide the students through the process. The classes are also not competitive and are modified for different learning levels so students can progress at their own ability level. Pathways for Exceptional Children is a nonprofit that collaborates with Montville Recreation, but all of our classes are open to nonresidents of Montville Township!
