Food Stamp Outreach To Be Held In Montville
Free pre-screening and application assistance available Monday.
The SNAP Outreach team from the Community FoodBank of NJ will visit the Montville Township Public Library on Monday, November 16 from 6pm to 8pm and help low-income families see if they may qualify for food stamps. They will assist those people likely to be eligible for food stamp benefits to fill out an online application. Support in English and Spanish will be available. The library is located at 90 Horseneck Rd.
The Outreach team provides free SNAP eligibility pre-screenings at emergency food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, churches, and other community sites serving low-income families in 18 New Jersey counties. The Community FoodBank of NJ also distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,400 programs which feed almost 1 million New Jersey residents.
