Take the Challenge

Are you not happy with yourself?

Is that what I look like?

The other day I got together with a bunch of friends, and after hanging for a few hours, they decided to take pictures of the group.  We were all having a good time, laughing and standing around, so I did not notice that photos where being taken at the time. When I saw the candid photos posted on Facebook for the first time, I thought, "Oh my God!". I was not happy with the way I looked.  This was one of those moments that was in my face, and I did not like it.

What do you do if you are not happy with yourself?

First, I made a decision that I was not going to continue with the way I was living.  It was not working and I was in denial. So, NO MORE DENIAL!  The second thing I did was told my husband that even though he liked  the way I looked, I did not, so I was doing this for me. I am the one who needs to feel good, confident, and sexy, so that I can be confident and feel good about myself.  It's not about anyone else, its about me.  Than I did what I do best, I made a script for myself to listen to in order to help make the changes I desired. With my confidence restored, I knew I was on the right path to success.

Make a definite decision to change, for you and the reasons why.

Anyone that comes to me knows that you have to have an idea of what you want to do, instead of doing what you use to do.  Write the reasons why you want this change.

Maybe your reason is to lose weight or maybe to  be healthier.  Maybe to be a size 10, or so your knees or back do not hurt any longer.  Your goal could be that you just want to live longer, to spend more time with your family.  Whatever your reason is for the change, write it down.  Carry your reasons with you everywhere you go, so that you have a reminder of why you are making these changes.

I am talking about getting rid of the weight in this newsletter, but you can use this for any kind of change you want for yourself! Don't limit your possibilities.

Take the challenge!

Do it one day at a time.

We as a culture and human beings are an extremely impatient group.  We want it when we want it, and that is NOW!  However, we forget that it took us weeks or months, possibly even years to get to the place we are at now. So why do we beat ourselves up when the change does not come in a day or a week? It's not fair to ourselves and it is unrealistic.  If a child said I want it now, you would say you have to wait.  The same rule applies to you.  Tell your inner child, it has to wait. The best part of change is the journey, with all the highs and lows. It's what empowers us; makes us grow and become stronger and better versions of ourselves. Remember, good things are happening, just one day at a time.

So let's do it together — you and me! Take the challenge and change for your own good!
