There’s an APP for That! Montville Schools Launch District App

Montville Township Public Schools has launched a district-wide APP for Apple and Android phones. The APP, which allows easy access to district news, calendar event listings, the Montville Township High School (MTHS) athletics schedule, and Genesis Parent Access, as well as the district’s Facebook and Twitter feeds, is fully integrated with the district’s new website (Montville.net), which was launched in September.

The APP also allows users to link to the individual school webpages for each of the seven Montville Township Public Schools buildings, as well as the district’s homepage.

In addition, by enabling notifications, the APP will provide quick communication about delayed openings, snow days and other district notifications.

“This is a valuable tool for the entire district and community,” said Superintendent Dr. René Rovtar. “Users of this APP will find that all district information will be much more easily accessible on the phone. Additionally, the district can easily share information, as long as people have downloaded the APP to their phones, and have set the APP to enable notifications.”
While the APP will not take the place of text message notifications, or e-mail notifications, it will provide easier access to both important notifications as well as general and school specific information.

To download the APP, one should access the Apple App store or Google Play. Once there, APP search criteria is: SchoolPointe Stay Connected. Note: SchoolPointe is all one word and is spelled with an “e” at the end. Once SchoolPointe Stay Connected is downloaded to the phone, select Montville Township Public Schools.
