No injuries reported from Wednesday afternoon incident.
A car fire at the height of rush hour in Morris County shut down a westbound lane on Route 80 Wednesday afternoon, New Jersey State Police said.
The fire was not suspicious and likely due to mechanical issues, Sgt. Jeff Flynn said. No one was injured as a result of the blaze, but the right lane was closed for a period of time. The Mt. Arlington Fire Department responded to the scene to knock down the blaze.
Police responded to the incident at mile marker 28.5 in Roxbury Township around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
