1 Dead, Another Critically Hurt After Shots Fired In Maple Shade
The motive for the shooting is not known at this time, authorities said.
MAPLE SHADE, NJ — One man is dead and another is in critical condition after shots rang out in Maple Shade Friday morning, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and Maple Shade Police Department.
Maurice Kobassic, 27, of Fox Meadow Apartment Complex off of Route 73 in Maple Shade was found dead about 3:30 a.m. near an entrance to one of the units at the Fox Meadow Apartment Complex off of Route 73, according to authorities.
A 26-year-old man was also found shot in the face, authorities said. He was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden and was listed in critical but stable condition, authorities added.

The victims occupied the same apartment in the complex, authorities said. The motive for the shooting continues to be investigated. No arrests have been made at this time, according to authorities.
