1 Killed In 2-Car Crash In Burlington County: Police

A Toyota collided with a Mistubishi when the driver tried to pass the car while going around a curve.

A Burlington County man was killed in a two-car crash in South Jersey Saturday morning, according to New Jersey State Police.

Cody Watson, 20, of the Browns Mills section of Pemberton, was killed in an accident on Route 563 north in Woodland Township just after 3 a.m. on Dec. 22, according to a New Jersey State Police spokesperson.

Watson was the passenger in a Toyota Tundra that was traveling north on the road when the driver attempted to pass a Mistubishi Lancer as the two cars went around a curve, police said.

The cars collided, left the road and struck several trees, police said. Watson died a short time later. The driver of the Toyota suffered moderate injuries, and the driver of the Mitsubishi didn’t report any injuries. The accident remained under investigation on Monday.
