1 Killed In Moorestown House Fire: Police

A 61-year-old man was killed in a house fire in Moorestown Friday afternoon, police said.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A 61-year-old man was killed in a house fire in Moorestown Friday afternoon, according to police.

Moorestown police, fire and EMS responded to the scene of the fire on Moore Street at 4:47 p.m. Friday, police said Saturday morning.

Three people were able to escape the house, but after the fire, a 61-year-old man was found deceased inside the home, police said.

The man was not identified by police. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Lenola Fire Department responded to the scene, and brought the fire under control with the help of the Moorestown Fire Department, as well as other mutual aid fire companies.

Moorestown detectives and Moorestown fire investigators were assisted with the investigation on scene by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and Burlington County Fire Marshall.
