100-Year-Old Moorestown Woman Who Was Involved In Community Dies
Dorothy Mae Pearson Wright passed away peacefully on December 19, 2017, in New Bern, North Carolina.

Dorothy Mae Pearson Wright passed away peacefully on December 19, 2017, in New Bern, North Carolina. She was 100 years of age. Dorothy was born in Goldsboro, NC to Loren and Eula Pearson. She graduated from Guilford College as a Music Major and married Arthur L. Wright of Camden, NJ on June 24, 1942.
After relocating to Merchantville, NJ, they moved in 1953 to Moorestown, NJ, where they enjoyed a full life until Arthur’s death in 1995. Dorothy was involved with many organizations in Moorestown and worked closely with The American Home Historical Organization.
Dorothy then moved to Hershey, PA, to be close to her son Thomas P. Wright. In 2010, she moved with her son to New Bern, NC. Dorothy is survived by her only son Thomas, two granddaughters Sarah Madison of Charlotte, NC, Kristen Tinsman of Concord, NC and one great grandson Russell Tinsman of Concord NC.

The family appreciates the loving care and dedication given to Dorothy through the years by her wonderful
caregivers. Memorial Graveside Services are planned for March 24, 2018, 10:30 a.m. in the Cemetery of
The First Presbyterian Church, Moorestown, NJ. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Lewis Funeral
Home, Moorestown, NJ.
