16 Moorestown Friends Students Join Cum Laude Society

The Cum Laude Society is a national honor society for public and independent secondary schools.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A total of 16 Moorestown Friends School students were inducted into the Cum Laude Society on May 17, the school announced. The Cum Laude Society is a national honor society for public and independent secondary schools. Students are selected for membership in the Cum Laude Society based on their cumulative record of academic excellence in all subject areas.

No more than 20 percent of a school’s senior class may be selected, with no more than 10 percent chosen during their junior year. Moorestown Friends School received its Cum Laude charter in 1962.

The inductees included the following seniors:

  • Melissa Abrams (Cherry Hill);
  • Dragon Ding (Moorestown);
  • Grace Kim (Moorestown);
  • Xin Li (Beijing, China/Moorestown);
  • Tyler Radack (Delran);
  • Medina Shah (Mount Laurel);
  • Hanlan Yang (Guangdong, China/Southampton); and
  • Haiqi Zhou(Yuexiu, China/Southhampton).

Juniors inducted included:

  • Michael Cherfane (Cherry Hill);
  • Moises Cosme (Camden);
  • Vishal Doshi (Cherry Hill);
  • Chloe Jones (Haddon Township);
  • Andrew Landesman (Medford);
  • Elizabeth Mayer (Riverton);
  • Ian Millstein (Moorestown); and
  • Alexis Watson (Moorestown).
