3 Shred Events Coming Up For Burlington County Residents

Mark your calendars: Burlington County has three paper shredding events​ in the coming months for residents to get rid of old documents.

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — It's about time to think about spring cleaning, and Burlington County will have three paper shredding events in the coming months.

The dates of these shred events are March 20, April 10, and May 15, the county announced. All three are rain or shine and will be held 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex/Landfill at 22000 Burlington-Columbus Road Florence, NJ 08518.

If shredding trucks get full, the events may end before 1 p.m., the county said.

There are several rules for the shred events, which are as follows:

  • Burlington County residents only; identification required.
  • Residents must remain in their cars during the event.
  • Staff will remove the paper from the vehicle, so it must be easily accessible and placed in the trunk, cargo area, or truck bed.
  • No magazines or junk mail; personal, confidential documents only
  • Limit of 4 bags or boxes of un-shredded paper, each weighing no more than 10 pounds.
    • Shredded paper is accepted.
  • No businesses or nonprofits, residents only.
