$712,000 Lottery Ticket Sold In South Jersey

Check your pockets! A winning ticket for Monday's drawing was sold in South Jersey.

One South Jersey lottery player has hit the jackpot. One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $712,820 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Monday, July 30 drawing, NJ Lottery officials announced on Tuesday.

The winning numbers were: 03, 05, 09, 14 and 30 and the XTRA number was: 04. The ticket was sold at Hanover Mart, 209 Hanover Street in Pemberton, Burlington County.

“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Hanover Mart,” Acting Executive Director James Carey said. “The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”

There were 681,139 tickets purchased for the drawing, according to Carey. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 168 ticket holders won $334 each and 33 others won $1,336 each with the addition of XTRA.

For correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 5,312 ticket holders won $12 each and 873 others won $48 each with the addition of XTRA. Another 9,164 ticket holders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
