Alea Couch Joins VOAVD Property, Inc. Board of Trustees
Couch brings years of experience in housing policy to VOADV Property, Inc.
VOADV Property, Inc. (VOADV Property) is pleased to announce the addition of Alea Couch, vice president of Hoboken Strategy Group, to its Board of Trustees.
“Ms. Couch brings years of experience in housing policy and continues to be a strong advocate for the populations we serve in Trenton and beyond,” said Owen McCabe, president of VOADV Property. “Her strategic vision and professional expertise will help our organization remain a leader in the development of affordable housing throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.”

“It is an absolute privilege to be asked to serve on VOADV Property’s Board of Trustees,” said Couch. “I firmly believe that the work done by VOADV Property is critically important to the sustained growth of our communities – broadening access to affordable housing options, so that individuals and families can live self-fulfilled, independent lives.”
Prior to her position at Hoboken Strategy Group, Couch served as a research associate to the Senate Majority Office and policy coordinator to Senator Troy Singleton. Through her work with the Legislature, she helped advance numerous bill packages aimed at improving housing, urban policy and government efficiency. As part of her efforts, New Jersey adopted not only some of the strongest renter protections in the country, but also a number of policies that provided financial assistance to both tenants and landlords who were navigating the COVID-19 pandemic.

Couch has received a number of recognitions throughout her career – she was named to Loretta Weinberg’s 2023 Women’s Power List earlier this year, featured in InsiderNJ ’s Insider 100: Policymakers list in 2021 and named to ROI-NJ ’s Influencers People of Color “Rising Stars” list in 2020.
Couch received a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, where she is also currently pursuing a master’s degree.
