All The Votes Are In: Provisional Ballots Counted In Moorestown Elections

All the votes have been counted and posted on the Board of Elections website, but remain unofficial pending certification.

Moorestown, NJ -- Results are final in Moorestown’s general elections for 2016, and the top three winners for both council and school board remain the same, with some increases in final tallies.

A week and two days after voters went to the polls in the Nov. 8 general elections, results of the provisional ballots have been posted on the Burlington County Board of Elections website.

Democratic incumbent Lisa Petriello remained the top vote-getter in the race for three open, four-year council seats. She finished with 5,563 votes.

Republican candidate Mike Locatell was next, with 5,530 votes, followed by Republican incumbent Victoria Napolitano, who had 5,469 votes.

Democrat Kati Angelini was next, with 5,421 votes, followed by Republican Mayor Phil Garwood, who had 5,393 votes. Democrat Amy Leis finished with 5,303. There were seven write-in votes.

In the Board of Education elections, Kathy Goldenberg remained the top vote-getter in the four-person race for three open seats, with 5,766. She was followed by Sandra Alberti, with 5,324, and Maurice “Mick” Weeks III, with 4,777. There were 52 write-in votes.

Board Member Dimitri Schneiberg ran unopposed in a special election for the unexpired seat he was appointed to when Harry Faunce resigned earlier this year. He finished with 6,468 votes. There were 35 write-in votes.

Although the votes have all been counted, the results remain unofficial, pending certification by the county clerk.
