MOORESTOWN, NJ — Law enforcement responded to Moorestown Friends School on Wednesday for a bomb threat that was deemed not credible, Moorestown Police said.
After the threat was received, school officials immediately implemented established safety procedures while officers and emergency officials secured the scene.
A shelter-in-place was also activated.
Notifications were sent to parents and guardians throughout the situation, authorities added. The Police Department also reminded them not to respond directly to the scene when an active situation is being dealt with.
This can divert critical resources away from the operation.
The Moorestown Fire Department and Burlington County Sheriff's Office also assisted with the response.
