RIVERSIDE, NJ — A 35-year-old man has multiple warrants out for his arrest after avoiding court twice for assault, the Riverside Township Police Department said.
Jose Manuel Chavez Ontaneda was arrested for a 2024 case of aggravated assault (strangulation) and then released.
He did not appear in court and then assaulted the same person again, according to officials.
Ontaneda did not appear for that case either.
According to officials, Ontaneda weighs around 180 pounds and stands at 5-foot-5.
