WILLINGBORO, NJ — The Willingboro Performing Arts Center held its grand opening at the Willingboro Kennedy Center on Friday.
"The arts have a unique ability to bring us together, inspire creativity, and prove that we can be more than the limitations others may place on us," said Senator Troy Singleton (D-07). "Persistence and strength are the story of Willingboro."
Singleton helped to secure $1 million for the new venue's construction during the 2023 Fiscal Year budget talks.
"The Kennedy Center has long been a place for recreation, entertainment, and enrichment," added Singleton. "Now, this new performing arts center gives our community another place to experience live music, theater, dance, and so much more."
R&B group "Atlantic Starr" starts the season off with an 8 p.m. performance on Saturday.
Tickets are available now on the venue's website.
The Willingboro Performing Arts Center is located within the Kennedy Center at 429 John F. Kennedy Way.
