Autistic Children Have Chance To Meet Santa During Special Event In Moorestown

Santa will meet with autistic children and their siblings.

Moorestown, NJ -- Santa Claus knows that all children love him, but he also knows there are some who need a little extra time to get comfortable with him so they can give him their wish list and get their picture taken with him.

The Moorestown Library will host a special visit with Santa Claus for children with special needs on Thursday, Dec. 15, 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m. in the Story Time Room.

Santa will meet with children who have special needs, as well as their brothers and sisters.

The event is sponsored by the Moorestown Library and the Libraries and Autism group.

In 2008, the group created a training video for library staff to make them more aware of autism, and to help them provide better service to anyone who is autistic. That video is posted below.
