Barricaded Man Opened Fire In Burlington County: Police
A shelter-in-place has been lifted after a barricaded suspect who discharged his weapon was arrested, authorities said.
EVESHAM, NJ — A shelter-in-place has been lifted after a barricaded suspect who opened fire was arrested Monday morning in Evesham, authorities said.
A man barricaded himself on Brookfield Drive, prompting a heavy police presence in the area. The suspect discharged his weapons during the barricade, but nobody was injured by gunfire, said Evesham Police Chief Walt Miller at about 5 a.m. Monday.
The man was safely taken into custody at about 8:40 a.m., Miller said. Authorities haven't publicly identified the suspect.

Several roadways were closed in the area, and police had asked the public to avoid sections of Kettle Run Road and Hopewell Road. The shelter-in-place has since been lifted, but police are continuing to investigate the scene.
Police contacted local schools to alter bus routes in the area.
