MARLTON, NJ — A Burlington County elementary school sheltered in place Monday morning because of nearby police activity.At about 9 a.m., authorities issued the shelter-in-place for Helen L. Beeler Elementary School in Marlton. Law enforcement was responding to the 40 block of Radnor Boulevard to arrest a person who was wanted out of Pennsylvania.The suspect was apprehended without incident, according to the Evesham Police Department. The shelter-in-place was lifted shortly after police activity concluded.The U.S. Marshals Service, Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and Burlington County Sheriff's Office collaborated to arrest the wanted man.Police haven't disclosed the suspect's identity or charges.

The Rutgers Master Gardener Program of Burlington County will be giving 3 presentations on Saturday, May 9 at the opening of the Burlington County Farmers Market at the Burlington County Agricultural Center located at 500 Centerton Road in Moorestown NJ.
The presentations are:
9:30 am - 10:15 am - The Basic Care and Growing of Fig Trees (Seating is limited, registration &amp; $15.00 fee is required).
10:30 am to 11:15 am - Composting (no registration or fee).
11:30 am - 12:15 pm - The Basic Care and Growing of Hydrangeas (Seating is limited, registration &amp; $15.00 fee required).
All three presentations are near or at the Rutgers Demonstration plots (to the right of the Big Red Barn, next to the Community Gardens).
