Burlington County Farmers Market Reopens In Moorestown

The Farmers Market is open every Saturday through October.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Burlington County residents are invited to shop local for their fruits and vegetables at the annual county Farmers Market, which is currently underway. The Farmers Market is held every Saturday, 8:30 a.m.–1 p.m., through October at the Burlington County Agricultural Center in Moorestown.

“This popular Saturday market is one-stop shopping for our residents who are looking to dig into some summer crops this season,” Burlington County Freeholder Deputy Director Linda Hughes, liaison to the County Department of Resource Conservation, said.

The Farmers Market also includes a community garden, annual and perennial plants, cut flowers, baked goods and other prepared foods, cheeses, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, unique crafts and more.

“I am so pleased to offer these weekly markets to our residents and provide opportunities to support and highlight our thriving local agricultural industry,” Hughes said.

Over the past several decades, Burlington County has protected over 61,000 acres of farmland and open space, county officials said. It also supports a local agricultural community that produces plants, flowers, fresh tomatoes, corn, and blueberries, just to name a handful.
