MAYS LANDING, NJ — An incarcerated Burlington County man was charged with murder Wednesday after fatally beating another inmate in a New Jersey jail, authorities said.The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office (ACPO) responded just after midnight Wednesday for a report that one inmate beat another to death in the county jail in Mays Landing, the agency said.The investigation to date led authorities to charge Aahznier Hayes, 22, of Westampton, with first-degree murder. The ACPO identified the victim as Kenneth Raymond, 52, of Ventnor.The ACPO and Atlantic County Justice Facility continue to investigate the incident.

The Rutgers Master Gardener Program of Burlington County will be giving 3 presentations on Saturday, May 9 at the opening of the Burlington County Farmers Market at the Burlington County Agricultural Center located at 500 Centerton Road in Moorestown NJ.
The presentations are:
9:30 am - 10:15 am - The Basic Care and Growing of Fig Trees (Seating is limited, registration &amp; $15.00 fee is required).
10:30 am to 11:15 am - Composting (no registration or fee).
11:30 am - 12:15 pm - The Basic Care and Growing of Hydrangeas (Seating is limited, registration &amp; $15.00 fee required).
All three presentations are near or at the Rutgers Demonstration plots (to the right of the Big Red Barn, next to the Community Gardens).
